He felt a special passion for photographing landscapes until decided, later, to attend the Professional Photography course at the New York Institute of Photography, looking for new challenges, and acquiring deeper skills, specially in long exposure photography.

His first exhibition alone, was held in the end of 2019, at the Academy of Sciences, Lisbon, under the called 20 ", dealing with the theme of the Portuguese sea and coast, using mostly the long exposure technique.

Luís is also a member of Professional Photographers of America.

Everything started to appear in a very natural way, without ambition or initial project. The taste for photography created the adventure of knowing a little more each day, experimenting with new challenges, testing formats, adding the best technology and going on constant expeditions in search of the raw material that his intuition revealed to him. The obsession with exercise and the methodical discovery of new perspectives, built a new discipline in his daily life, dawn or fall asleep without a schedule, at the same time that his interest increased with a renewed eagerness to look at the world in a certain way.

The author choices, in the selection of framings and motives, seem to reflect a search, his search, incessant for harmony and inner peace, feeling in his taste the maturity of life experience. The moments captured in the reality he photographs, appeal, like a canvas, to an imaginary of beauty that registers the transcendence of an inner journey for a new man and a new humanity.
